Something else that’s quietly running out
The queues at petrol stations over the past few weeks made me think about something.
When people believe something might run out, behaviour changes quickly.
Drivers top up earlier.
Petrol stations get busier.
Everyone suddenly pays attention to how much fuel they have left.
Scarcity sharpens awareness.
It made me wish there were billboards on the highway displaying the price of time.
Updating as you drive past.
Higher this year than last year.
Because unlike petrol, time never gets refilled.
Yet most of us live as if it’s abundant.
We postpone things.
We assume there will always be another chance.
And by the time the warning bell rings, that season of life has already passed.
Financial planning isn’t just about building wealth.
It’s about making sure money supports the life you want to live — while you still have the time to live it.
