It’s easy to get pulled into this
With everything going on lately — rising costs, constant headlines — it’s easy to get pulled into all the predictions.
There’s no shortage of smart people making them.
And to be fair, many of them really know their stuff.
It’s easy to listen and feel like they must be right.
But when you step back, they’re still describing just one possible outcome.
One version of how things could play out.
And unless someone can consistently tell you what the news will be tomorrow, it’s hard to treat those views as anything more than that.
What I’ve noticed is the more you consume this kind of content, the more it feels like you should be doing something.
Over time, it just becomes noise.
Not necessarily because the ideas are wrong,
but because you’re constantly being pulled in different directions.
I’ve found it more helpful to focus less on trying to predict what happens next,
and more on doing what I can — and being okay with what I can’t control.
The future has always been uncertain.
We’re just exposed to a lot more of it now.
